In 1984, John and Lanna separated for almost three years. In 1986, when they were getting back together, someone suggested they have a "real" formal wedding and celebrate their reuniting with a very special ceremony. It was without a doubt, the happiest day for the adult children and especially for Jason, who was sixteen at the time. Jason was his Dad's best man. Andrew and Jeff gave their mother in marriage to their Dad. Lanna's sister Ruby, was her matron of honor and Heather Windsor was a bridesmaid. Jason Neal, early summer 1992	Jason Neal, early summer 1992	In 1992, while Jason Neal was still living at home in Ventura, he was working on a Naval Petroleum Reserve in Bakersfield, about a two hour drive to his jobsite. On August 21st, when Jason left the security gate to drive home, he apparently lost control of his new VW GTI, and the car was airborne for 175 feet and rolled on every side, and landed on the roof of his little red car, resulting in Jason's tragic death.
